More than ten years ago, what began as a part-time yoga career grew into a lifelong interest in the body and how we evolve. After working in outpatient physiotherapy, I left to pursue massage therapy and spent the next seven years building a practice in the heart of Newport, Rhode Island. Along the way, I collaborated with fellow creators, curated spaces, supported home births, and continued exploring the many influences that have shaped my work, including meditation, somatics, craniosacral principles, and a natural draw toward deep tissue and myofascial work. Life and travel have carried me to places near and far, though somehow I always found myself returning to New Mexico.
Most recently, I relocated to the Santa Fe area and am grateful for the opportunity to continue my work here. Beyond manual therapy, Bird's Body Shop is taking shape: a collection of handcrafted oils, vintage goods, and thoughtfully curated objects inspired by the senses and the spaces we create around ourselves. The online shop is right around the corner, and I look forward to opening the door to restorative offerings that will soon be available online as well.
As far as hands-on practice goes, you can find me at Body of Santa Fe. Feel free to send me a note regarding in-home sessions, collaborations, restorative offerings, or other ways our paths may cross at sarah@littlebirdwellbeing.com.
